When a Tree Needs to Be Removed
Removal is the right choice when a tree cannot be made safe by pruning. Typical reasons:
- The tree is dead or dying
- It leans towards a building, a road or a neighbour
- Large branches are cracked or keep falling
- Roots are lifting paving or walls
- It blocks light, a view or planned building work
- It was damaged in a storm
How We Remove a Tree Safely
We look at the height of the tree, which way it leans, what is underneath it and how we can reach it. Where there is room, the tree is felled in one piece. Where there is not, it is taken down from the top in sections, with a lifting platform for tall trees, so that roofs, fences, pools and cables stay untouched.
After the Tree Is Down
The trunk and branches are cut up and the ground is cleared. Taking the wood away is priced with the job. Tell us beforehand if you would like to keep the wood. If you want something planted in the same place, we can advise on what will grow well there.

A healthy tree that has only grown too big can often be reduced instead of removed. We tell you honestly which option makes sense when we see it.
